New Students
- Applicant must be a Jackson County Michigan resident and a graduate of a Jackson County Michigan high school (including Jackson County, Michigan homeschooled).
- Applicant must have co-signer.
- One of the applicant’s parents must reside in Jackson County, Michigan and/or a Jackson County Michigan School district during the years of borrowing from the program.
- Applicant must be attending or planning to attend a Michigan
state-supported college or university on a full-time basis.

Renewing Students
If you currently have a John George, Jr. Student Loan, you should receive a renewal letter in February requesting your borrowing needs for the upcoming school year. If you do not receive a renewal letter, please call the John George, Jr. Student Loan Office.

Additional Important Information
Applications should be made as soon as possible. The application process, receipt of reference letters, interviews, bank processing, and loan disbursement can take two (2) months or longer. Applications made on or near the ending due date will be processed in the order received and will be subject to loan approval, and proceeds may not be available until after school begins. |
