Applications are available all year long and can be downloaded on this page or obtained from our office at 2229 Fourth Street in Jackson. Applications can be submitted as follows:
• By mail to the address above.
• In person at the address listed above.
• Via email at info@johngeorge.org. -
New students
• An applicant must be a resident of Jackson County, Michigan or a graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) of a high school in Jackson County. (Jackson County homeschooled students are included.)
• An applicant must have a co-signer.
• An applicant must attend or plan to attend a Michigan state-supported college or university on a full-time basis.Renewing students
Students who are currently borrowing money in the John George Student Loan Fund program should receive a renewal letter each February requesting information regarding their borrowing needs for the upcoming school year. Those who do not receive a renewal letter at this time should follow up by contacting the John George Jr. Student Loan Fund office.

Students should apply as soon as possible. The time from an application is submitted until the loan is disbursed can take two months or more. Applications will be processed in the order they are received, therefore proceeds might not be available until after the school year begins to those who file near the beginning of the school year.
